Persian Wine
Wine has deep roots in Persia: some of the oldest evidence of winemaking in the world was found at Hajji Firuz Tepe in north-west Iran, from around 7,000 years ago. Today the Persian-heritage houses Cyrus and Omar Khayyam carry the story on, with wines named after Persia’s kings and poets.
